“It’s called a daily implementer, so there will be meetings here every day. Because the Nutritious Eating program is basic, the scale is large, imagine 82.9 million beneficiaries, of course the impact is big, and the challenges are big,” said the man who is familiarly called Zulhas at a press conference at the inaugural meeting of the Coordinating Team for the Implementation of the MBG Program at the Coordinating Ministry for Food, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (4/11).
Zulhas explained that the inaugural meeting was a follow-up to the issuance of Presidential Decree (Keppres) Number 28 of 2025 concerning the MBG Program Implementation Coordination Team.

This team is chaired by Coordinating Minister for Food Zulhas together with Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno as Deputy Chair I, and Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar as Deputy Chair II.
According to Zulhas, daily meetings are important considering the very large scale and responsibility of the program. The MBG program is aimed at 82.9 million beneficiaries throughout Indonesia, with the aim of improving children’s nutrition and strengthening national food security.
“We don’t want any risk, it’s not about the numbers hit, but it’s about our children,” he said.
Zulhas said that the implementation of MBG will be overseen by a daily implementation team led by Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) for Investigation and Communication, Nanik S. Deyang.He will be accompanied by relevant echelons from various ministries and institutions.
Apart from supervising daily implementation, this team is also formulating governance for the implementation of the MBG program in the form of presidential regulations (perpres).
Through this governance, the government wants to ensure that there are people in charge at the district and provincial levels, organizers in the field, as well as a clear and transparent monitoring system.
“The governance for implementing the MBG program is in the form of a presidential decree. So that in the district there will be a person in charge, in the province there will be a person in charge, there will be an organizer, there will be supervision, with good, orderly governance,” said Zulhas.
He added that the monitoring system will be carried out using a good governance approach

Apart from that, the government is also finalizing draft changes to the presidential decree regarding the Organizational Structure and Work Procedures (SOTK) of the National Nutrition Agency. This new structure will strengthen BGN’s role in overseeing MBG implementation without increasing recruitment or renting a new office.
“No renting a new place, no new recruits, but a coordination team will be appointed later to manage MBG at the provincial, district and city levels,” he explained.
