won 1-0 in the fourth round of the 2026 World Cup Qualification, Sunday (12/10) early morning WIB.
Iqbal, who currently plays at FC Utrecht, scored the only goal that led Iraq to a 1-0 win over Indonesia at the King Abdullah Stadium, Sunday (12/10).
Iraq’s victory eliminated the Indonesian national team from the race for tickets to the 2026 World Cup.

Iqbal himself played in the second half replacing Kevin Yakob.The former Manchester United player admitted that he was nervous when playing against the Garuda Squad.
“I think, yes, the coach (made the changes), he spoke to us. We changed some things,” said Iqbal.
“Of course, a little nervous,” added Iqbal.
The Indonesian national team dominated possession of the ball and shots.Apart from that, Iraq also played with 10 men after defender Zaid Tahseen was sent off after receiving two yellow cards.
“I think after 45 minutes, everyone started to calm down. So, yes, thank God, we won. That’s the most important thing now,” said Iqbal.
On that occasion he gave praise to the Indonesian National Team after succeeding in making it difficult for the Iraqi resistance.
“Of course, this is a difficult match,” said Iqbal.
“We have played against Indonesia several times and this is not the same Indonesian (team),” continued Iqbal.
