Officially changed the name of the Ministry of Defense (Kemhan) to the Department of War.
Trump on Friday (5/9) signed the executive command related to the name change.
“I think it sent a winning message,” Trump told reporters at the Oval Office, Friday (5/9), as quoted

.”This is a much more appropriate name considering the current condition of the world.”
In recent weeks, Trump repeatedly said he wanted to change the name of the US Ministry of Defense because he considered the name to be too “defensive”.
He claimed not to want the US to only have a “defense” image, but also wanted Washington to be seen because of “offensive”.
Trump said the name of the Department of War used by the US during the administration of President George Washington in 1789 ago had an extraordinary history of victory.
“It used to be called the Department of War, and it sounded stronger,” he said.
“And as you know, we won World War I, we won World War II. We won everything,” Trump was quoted as saying by USA Today.
The Department of War was founded in the early days of US independence.This department oversees the American Army.
The reorganization of the Post World War II government placed the department with the Navy and Air Force under the auspices of the National Military Agency, which in 1949 was changed its name to the Ministry of Defense.
The executive command of Trump itself does not necessarily change the name of the Ministry of Defense in the constitution.Changes in such names must be approached by the congress.
Therefore, this executive order is only as a “secondary title” for the US Ministry of Defense.Officials can use this new label in official events, public communication, ceremonial contexts, and in non-Statuta documents in the executive branch.
