On Friday (3/10), the Satresnarkoba Team conducted an operation
undercover
at the location.From the results of monitoring, officers saw two suspicious men coming out of the Roro ship that had just arrived from Tanjung Kapal, Rupat.
“The two men were riding a green Honda Scoopy motorcycle without a number plate,” added Angga.
Officers then carried out ambush and inspection of the vehicle.From the search results, a black clothing bag was found in the motorcycle seat.
“In the bag there is a large package of 1 kilogram of methamphetamine wrapped in plastic that reads ’99 durian ‘,” he explained.
In addition to methamphetamine, the police also confiscated a number of other items of evidence, including a Honda Scoopy motorbike, one clothing bag, an Oppo cellphone unit, and a blue plastic sheet.
The two suspects are now detained at the Dumai Police Headquarters for further investigation.They were charged under Article 114 paragraph (2) jo Article 112 paragraph (2) of Law Number 35 Year 2009 concerning Narcotics, with the threat of death sentence or life imprisonment.
AKBP Angga asserted that his party would continue to tighten supervision in the port area which is often used as a drug entrance to outside the region.
“We appreciate the people who dare to report. The active role of citizens is very important in breaking the chain of drug trafficking in the Dumai region,” he said.
