“So in principle, such cars most mostly do not meet roadworthy requirements. And Indonesia also has a noise threshold,” said Yusuf Nugroho, Director of Facilities and Safety Road Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation, at ICE BSD, last week.

Then, said Yusuf, the sound should not be sounded when the vehicle is driving, because it has the potential to disturb road users or people around.
“So it can actually meet the safety aspects, if the operation is only a means of transportation, so (sound) is not functioning when the vehicle operates. That is the first,” Yusuf said.
“In addition, the preparation of the sound system itself must be in accordance with the regulations, such as the amount of charge or dimensions. As long as it can be met and the operation is only used when the car stops, or according to allotment, not sounded while roads, yes there is still the potential to meet the requirements of roadworthy,” he added.
He then asked all sound horeg operators to obey the applicable rules.Such as the aim to provide entertainment to the community, do it in the right place and way.
