The Ministry of Investment will increase the disability friendly service

Ministry of Investment and Downstream/Investment Coordinating Board (
BKPM
) Holding a Disability Perspective Workshop and Disability Friendly Services on Saturday (2/7) as an effort to improve the quality of the state apparatus service towards disabled people.
This activity was held in collaboration with the Archipelago Disability Alliance and presented a facilitator from the National General Accessibility Movement (GET), as a form of mandate of Law No. 8 of 2016 concerning Persons with Disabilities and Various Derivative Regulations.
In the opening speech of the workshop, the Minister of Investment and downstreaming/Head of BKPM, Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, said that his ministry tried to carry out this mandate by providing friendly public services and maximum access for people with disabilities.
In addition, said Rosan, his ministry also opened up opportunities for people with disabilities to participate actively and contribute to social and economic life, including in the fields of investment and downstreaming.
“We provide assistance, translation, and assistance in all public service places without additional costs. We build infrastructure of information systems both electronic and non -electronic that are easily accessible, and most importantly, ensuring our human resources (human resources) are trained and have empathy to provide responsive services,” said Rosan.
On this occasion, Rosan also highlighted the concrete steps taken by the Ministry of Investment and downstreaming/BKPM, starting from opening special formations for Disability Employees, building disability -friendly facilities and infrastructure, to conduct technical guidance to employees to be able to provide inclusive services.
At the end of his remarks, Rosan invited all ministries to work together to make inclusiveness a part of the institutional culture.
“This activity is the first step and his hope can continue to be refined in the future. Because returning again, disability must have the same rights. Employers as a milestone for investment and economic driving, the involvement of friends of disability themselves (becoming entrepreneurs), will make us better,” said Rosan.
One of the facilitators from the dress, David Eka Suryadinata, said that there were many people with disabilities who began to try and need licensing services, one of which was the TRYING IMPLEMENTATION NUMBER (NIB).
He hopes that Disability Friendly Services at the Ministry of Investment and downstreaming/BKPM can encourage more disabilities that have a business and productive.
“I see that in this office there is already a special service, and the workshop is expected to improve services to people with disabilities,” David said.
“I hope that in the future this ministry can collaborate with other ministries to provide training to disabled entrepreneurs, so that our friends of entrepreneurs can also get NIB can also get business assistance so that they can be more productive,” David said.
The workshop was attended by participants from various work units within the Ministry of Investment and downstreaming/BKPM which provided public services.
Through a face-to-face learning approach consisting of theoretical and practice sessions, participants are equipped with a deep understanding of the principles of services that respect the diversity and need for accessibility for all business actors.
