Minister of Forestry (Menhut) Raja Juli Antoni Indonesia has a very high biodiversity.Therefore, the number of national parks spread in various regions needs to be managed properly.
Raja Juli hopes that this collaboration with Basarnas can increase SAR potential so that the search or handling of accidents on mountains or national parks can be done better.
“Dedicated indeed to educate more SAR potentials among the community including in the forest police, in the heads of our national park, so that if something happens we will be more able to handle better,” he said in a written statement, Tuesday (5/8).
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding was carried out by the Minister of Forestry Raja Juli Antoni and the Head of Basarnas Marshal Madya TNI Mohammad Syafii at the Ministry of Forestry Office.
“This cooperation is very important, no matter how professional our Basarnas is but with a long vulnerable control of the complexity of the problem that is also extraordinary, the potential of the emergency also requires the spirit of volunteerism from various parties,” said Raja July.
Meanwhile, Kabasarnas Marshal Middle Marshal Mohammad Syafii conveyed this collaboration became the foundation in collaboration related to the use of resources to the improvement of the safety system.
“Includes the development and improvement of the safety system, search and rescue training, increasing human capacity and other agreed cooperation,” he said.
Some time ago it was found that there had been a number of climbers’ incidents fell on Mount Rinjani, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).
One that attracted the attention of the public, even the international world was the incident of the fall of Brazilian climbers, Juliana Marins on June 21 last.
The body of the victim was only discovered after two days of search or on June 23 and was successfully evacuated the next day from a depth of 600 meters.
As a result of the incident, the family had stated that the Indonesian rescue team was negligent in saving Marins.They stressed that they would seek justice.
“Juliana received a serious negligence from the rescue team. If they arrived on time, Juliana might be able to survive,” according to the family.
“Juliana deserves more! Now we will fight for her justice. Don’t forget Juliana,” they added.
