Some videos uploaded by a Jewish organization called Temple Mount Administration showed Ben-Gvir led the group to the Al-Aqsa complex.
Another video shows Ben-Gvir praying on the trip.Reuters claimed not to be able to inform the truth of other videos.
Waqf, the Al-Aqsa Complex Management Foundation, said Ben-Gvir came with a group of around 1,250 people. They are called praying, screaming, and dancing.
The visit was carried out to coincide with Tisha B’Av, the day of fasting Jews in memory of the destruction of the two ancient temples that stood in that location centuries ago.
The Al-Aqsa complex is managed by the Jordanian Religious Foundation based on the “status quo” settings that have been running for years with Muslim authority.
Jews are allowed to visit the place. However, they are prohibited from worshiping there.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu commented on Ben-Gvir’s visit. He said Israel’s policy of maintaining the status quo in the complex, “hasn’t changed and will never change.”
This is not the first time Ben-Gvir prayed at the Al-Aqsa Mosque. He once visited the site and stated that Jews could worship at the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
At that time, he prayed for Israel to win over Hamas in the war in Gaza.
Ben-Gvir’s previous actions triggered anger from the Muslim community of the world and triggered a dispute. However, there have been no similar reports after Ben-Gvir repeated it recently.
