Greenland tells the story of an engineer who must protect his family in the midst of the fall of a comet to earth.
John Garrity (Gerard Butler) is an engineer who lives with his wife, Allison (Morena Baccarin), and his son, Nathan (Roger Dale Floyd) in Atlanta, United States.
One day, John returned home after watching a comet passing near the earth.The comet was named Clarke.
John then got a message that he and his family were given a place in an emergency shelter.However, when he returned home, he saw a comet broken into the earth’s atmosphere.
The comet fragments were initially thought to fall near Bermuda, but instead fell in Tampa, Florida.The city was destroyed by comet attacks.

The disaster caused panic in the community.John got an order to immediately go to the Robins Air Force base and evacuate.
Because, the comet Clarke is said to be crashing and destroying the earth.The comet fragments are also expected to attack the earth for two days.
In the end John met again with Allison and Nathan.The three of them packed the items they could carry before the evacuation.
