National Disaster Management Agency (
BNPB
) recorded the death toll in the disaster
flood
and landslides in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra, increasing to 753 people as of Wednesday (3/12) morning.
Based on data displayed on the official BNPB website, the number of missing victims is 650 people in the three affected provinces.
In detail, the number of victims who died in Aceh was 218 people and 227 people were missing.Then in North Sumatra, 301 people died and 163 people disappeared.

Meanwhile, in the West Sumatra region, 234 people died and 260 other people were still declared missing.
Meanwhile, the number of injured in this disaster reached 2,600 people in the three provinces.Then, the total number of people affected by major floods in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra reached 3.3 million people.
On the other hand, the National SAR Agency (Basarnas) has evacuated 35,857 residents affected by flash floods and landslides in Sumatra.This number is based on data collected by Basarnas as of Tuesday (2/12) at 20.00 WIB.
In detail, in Aceh, Basarnas evacuated 1,600 residents from a total of 18 affected areas.Then in North Sumatra (North Sumatra) as many as 4,599 residents were evacuated from 11 affected districts/cities.
Meanwhile in West Sumatra, 29,658 residents have been evacuated from a total of 11 districts/cities affected by the disaster.
BNPB also opened a hotline or special channel for residents who have difficulty contacting their families due to floods and landslides in the Sumatra region.
Head of BNPB Lt. Gen. Suharyanto said residents can call the telephone number 081161645500 by including their family data in the form of name, age, gender and address and last location.
“BNPB has opened a communication channel or hotline that can be contacted by people who still have difficulty contacting families in affected areas via telephone number,” he said in a written statement, last Friday (28/11).
He explained that later BNPB would send the data to BNPB personnel coordinators in each affected district or city to carry out on-site checks.
