Reportedly had been depressed by news and evil comments netizens before being found dead in his car on Monday (4/8) South Korean time.
Source said the Extreme Job (2019) star was depressed to face blasphemy on the internet after being caught in a drunk case in a drunken condition in June 2025. He was also said to face a difficult situation due to the case.

Song Young-kyu is a famous Korean actor who was born on April 18, 1970. He was noted to have starred in a myriad of films and dramas throughout his career.
Some popular drama titles that have starred Young-kyu are The Virus (2013), Stardust (2015), Hwarang (2016), Voice (2017), to Revolutionary Love (2017).
He also appeared in the hit drama Reply 1988 as Kim Tae-yong, Sun-young’s sister (Kim Sun-young) as well as uncle from Sung Sun-woo (Go Kyung-Pyo).Young-kyu then still actively acting until 2020s through various titles.
