Under Rocky Hybrid, another model that played a big role in Daihatsu’s achievements during GIIAS was Gran Max with 134 SPK and Sigra as many as 123 SPK.
“With a challenging economic condition as it is today, consumers are more selective in choosing vehicles and increasingly trusting the innovations offered by Daihatsu. This is reflected in Daihatsu’s positive achievements during GIIAS 2025,” said Fredy Handjaja, Chief Executive of PT Astra International Tbk., Daihatsu Sales Operation, in his written statement quoted Wednesday (6/8).
According to him in the midst of a difficult economic situation in Indonesia, vehicles with a high level of efficiency will be the first choice.
“Efficiency and fuel consumption that is economical is the main factor needed today, and it can be answered by Daihatsu vehicle technology, especially Rocky Hybrid,” he said.
Rocky Hybrid or Rocky Esmart Hybrid rolled at the GIIAS 2025 event at a price of Rp293.3 million. This car is equipped with a 3-cylinder engine cycle of the Atkinson 1,200 cc WA-VX cycle but does not have the wheel to rotate the wheel but serves as a generator to charge battery.
While the driving wheels in front are powered by 104.5 HP electric motors and 170 Nm of torque.Thanks to this system the driver is 100 percent feeling driving an electric car.
The company claims that acceleration to 100 km per hour from a stationary position can be reached in 10.36 seconds.
Based on the calculation of the Japan Cycle ’08 (JC08) method, this car fuel consumption is 34.5 km per liter, but when tested using the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Cycle (WLTC) method in Japan, Rocky which has a 33 liter fuel tank only gets an efficiency figure of 28 km per liter.
During GIIAS 2025, Daihatsu presented a booth of 1,920m² in Hall 7 and displayed 15 units of display vehicles, 3 units of Personal Mobility e-Sneaker, to various games and other activities.
The company’s claim, Daihatsu managed to attract the attention of more than 80 thousand visitors, even 500 more people were called very enthusiastic to try Rocky Hybrid’s latest car directly.
