The Director General of New Energy, Renewable and Energy Conservation (EBTKE) of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Eniya Listiani Dewi said this figure rose 2 percent compared to last year.

Eniya said the EBT 23 percent target this year was indeed resigned to 2029 or 2030. Therefore, the government is trying to realize the EBT mix in the national plan.
He gave an example of the PT PLN (Persero) electricity supply business plan (RUPTL) for the 2025-2034 period included an additional power plant capacity of 42.6 Gigawatt (GW) from EBT or 71 percent of the total additional capacity.

President Prabowo Subianto is targeting all power plants in Indonesia to use EBT within the next 10 years.
“We must reach 100 percent of power generation from new and renewable energy within 10 years or faster,” Prabowo said in the President’s speech in the context of the delivery of the 2026 Draft State Budget and the Financial Note in the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Friday (15/8).
Prabowo said the countries in the world targeted that it was realized 2060. He was sure that Indonesia could do it faster.
He ensured that the 2026 State Budget supports energy transformation.In addition, the 2026 State Budget is certain to support energy security through subsidies, tax incentives, to the development of EBT.
“Government fiscal support, which is Rp 402.4 trillion for energy defense,” he said.
