Initially special tariffs only apply on Sunday, August 17, 2025, then extended until Monday, August 18, 2025.

Special tariff of Rp. 80 to coincide with the 80th anniversary of Indonesian Independence.According to Syafrin this tariff is not only symbolic warnings but also an invitation to participate in the celebration of independence.This celebration certainly uses an environmentally friendly, affordable, and public -oriented way.
The special tariff program has become part of the long -term campaign of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government so that more people use public transportation.
“With this policy, Jakarta hopes that the 80th HU celebration of Indonesian independence will be a historic moment that is not only filled with the spirit of nationalism, but also shows a joint commitment to inclusive and sustainable public transportation,” Syafrin added.
Previously, a special tariff of Rp. 80 was only applied on August 17, 2025. The adoption of tariffs was announced directly by the Deputy Minister of State Secretary Juri Ardiantoro on Friday (1/8).
What is the Rp80 tariff for public transportation?
Tariffs apply to Transjakarta services (BRT, Non-BRT, Transjabodetabek), MRT Jakarta, and LRT Jakarta routes of Velodrome-Pengangsaan Dua.
Public transportation users can enjoy special rates using payment methods in the form of electronic money such as Bank Mandiri E-Money, BCA Flazz, BNI Tap Cash, BRI Brizzi, Jaklingko Card, KMT, Jakcard, or via the JakLingko and MyMRTJ applications.
Meanwhile, the normal tariff for public transportation, for example, Transjakarta bus is Rp3,500 per trip.Then the Jakarta LRT is Rp. 5,000 per trip and the Jakarta MRT is calculated based on the distance or destination station.
