tax incentives
For businesses in the hotel sector and food and beverage restaurants in the form of tax discounts of 20 to 50 percent.
The policy is valid starting Monday (8/25) through Decree of the Governor of DKI Jakarta Number 722 of 2025.
“I signed the Governor’s Decree Number 722 to maintain the sustainability of the taxpayer’s business in the hospitality and restaurant sector, while supporting Jakarta’s economic growth,” Pramono Anung said in a written statement, Monday (8/25).
Pramono explained that the incentive of tax relief was given through three schemes.
First, a 50 percent discount for certain goods and services tax on hospitality services that apply from August 25 to September 2025.

Second, a 20 percent discount for certain goods and services tax on hospitality services that apply from October to December 2025.
Third, a 20 percent discount for food and beverage tax that takes effect from August to December 2025.
To get the incentive, taxpayers only need to submit a statement of willingness to report their transaction data electronically through the e-trap system that has been used by business actors in Jakarta.
“I will evaluate this policy as a material consideration to extend incentives until January 31, 2026,” he said.
Pramono said that the provision of incentives is a form of support for the business world to survive and develop, as well as appreciation for business actors who obey paying taxes on time.
This, he said, has contributed to Jakarta’s economic growth of around 14-15 percent, or above the national average.
“Not because I complained, instead I was surprised that the level of tax payments in Jakarta was very high. Because the payment went well, I gave incentives,” he said.
