Only two months on duty, Prada Lucky Cepril Saputra Namo, died allegedly due to its senior persecution in the Territorial Battalion Dormitory for 834 Waka Nga Mere (Yon TP 834/WM), Nagekeo, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).
Lucky breathed his last on Wednesday (6/8) at 10:30 pm after undergoing intensive treatment for four days at Aeramo Regional Hospital, Nagekeo.The following is a complete summary of the Prada Lucky death case involving members of the TNI to its eating.
1. Just two months of being a soldier
Lucky started his education at the Singaraja Tamtama Candidate School (Secatam) Singaraja, Bali in February 2025. After being inaugurated at the end of May, he was placed in Yon TP 834/WM in June 2025.
“He had only been a soldier for two months, after his education in May, then June was placed there,” said the victim’s uncle, Rafael David, at the funeral home, Thursday (7/8).
2. The anger of parents exploded
The victim’s father, Serma Kristian Namo, could not hold back anger.He demanded that this case be thoroughly investigated and the perpetrators were sentenced to death.
“I demanded justice, if possible all were sentenced to death so that there were no other lucky-lucky. Soldiers were killed, especially others,” he said at Wirasakti Hospital, Kupang.
The victim’s mother, Sepriana Paulina Mirpey, also refused to accept the death of her child, which she called was in vain.”If I die on the battlefield I accept. This is in vain in the hands of seniors,” he said in a sad tone.
Sepriana revealed, her son had told her adoptive mother that she was whipped by seniors.In the condition of the body full of bruises in the hands, feet and back, Lucky had fled to his adopted mother’s house to get help.
3. There is a bruised wound
Director of Aeramo Regional Hospital, Chandrawati Saragih, confirmed the existence of bruises in Lucky’s body.However, he did not comment on the alleged incision.”It’s true that there is bruises,” he said simply.
Rafael, the uncle, said there were signs of violence in the victim’s body.”There were bruises, incisions, and collisions. I said there was torture,” he said.
4. Four soldiers were arrested, 20 were examined
POM TNI has arrested four soldiers suspected of persecuting Lucky.The four are now detained at the Ende Subdenpom.
“Some have been secured by POM, indicated strongly to persecute until the victim experienced severe trauma when entering the ICU,” said Dandim 1625 Ngada, Lieutenant Colonel Czi Deny Wahyu Setiyawan.
Kodam IX/Udayana said that a total of 20 soldiers were examined as witnesses.”Around 20 people were questioned. The final decision remains based on the process of the investigation team,” said Waka Pendam IX/Udayana Lt. Col. Inf.Amir Syarifudin.
Kadispenad Brigadier General Wahyu Yudhayana ensured the investigation was carried out seriously.”Some personnel suspected of the perpetrators, including witnesses, are being examined intensively by the Military Police Detachment in Kupang,” he said.
5. Cemeter full of sorrow
Thousands of mourners attended Lucky’s funeral at TPU Kapadala, Kupang, Saturday (9/8).The ceremony is carried out militarily.
The victim’s sister, Lusi Namo, requested that the perpetrators not be protected.
“Hoping the perpetrators should not be protected, want him to be high or anything,” he said firmly.
