Public Prosecutor of the Corruption Eradication Commission (

) charged the President Director of PT Dalihan Na Tolu Group (DNTG), Muhammad Akhirun Piliang alias Kirun, with a sentence of 3 years in prison and a fine of IDR 150 million.
The demands were read out in a trial at the Corruption Court at the Medan District Court presided over by judge Khamozaro Waruwu, Wednesday (5/11).
“Requesting the panel of judges to sentence the defendant Muhammad Akhirun Piliang to three years in prison and a fine of IDR 150 million, subsidiary to six months in prison,” said Eko.

Not only Muhammad Akhirun Piliang, the prosecutor also demanded that Akhirun’s son, Muhammad Rayhan Dulasmi Piliang alias Rayhan as Director of PT Rona Na Mora (RNM) be sentenced to 2 years and 6 months in prison, a fine of IDR 100 million, a subsidiary of 6 months in prison.
According to the public prosecutor, the father and son were proven to have given bribes to the former Head of the North Sumatra PUPR Department, Topan Obadiah Putra Ginting, as well as a number of officials within the North Sumatra PUPR Service to win the auction for two strategic projects.Typhoon Obadiah Ginting is the closest person to North Sumatra Governor Bobby Nasution.
The value of the bribes given reached IDR 4 billion, with the target of winning two large projects, namely the Sipiongot-Batas Labuhanbatu Road Project worth IDR 96 billion.Then the Hutaimbaru-Sipiongot Road Project with a budget of IDR 61.8 billion.
The two defendants were found guilty of committing criminal acts of corruption in the form of bribery or gratification in accordance with Article 5 letter a of the Corruption Law in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 65 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code, Junto Article 13 concerning giving something or promising something to state officials.
In the prosecutor’s consideration, the thing that aggravated the sentence was that the two defendants were deemed not to support the government’s program in eradicating corruption, collusion and nepotism (KKN).
However, on the other hand, there are several things that lighten the sentence, such as polite behavior during the trial, having never been punished before, being cooperative, and both regretting their actions.The prosecutor also considered that Rayhan was still young and had family responsibilities.
After reading the charges, the panel of judges gave the two defendants and their team of legal advisors the opportunity to submit a defense note (pleidoi).A follow-up hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, November 12 2025.
This case started with the KPK’s OTT on June 28 2025 regarding alleged corruption in a road construction project in North Sumatra worth a total of IDR 231.8 billion.The Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) named five suspects, namely Typhoon Obadiah Putra Ginting, former Head of the UPTD for the Gunung Tua PUPR Service, Rasuli Efendi Siregar and the Commitment Making Officer (PPK) of the North Sumatra Region I PJN Working Unit, Heliyanto.
Then the contractors from the private sector are the Main Director of PT Dalihan Natolu Group (DNG), Akhirun Piliang, and the Main Director of PT Rona Mora, Reyhan Dulsani.
