Legal dispute mediation efforts between girl groups

, failed on Thursday (8/14).Mediation lasted about 80 minutes at the Seoul Central District Court.

When mediation ends, the two members are silent when asked about the things discussed during the mediation session.However, based on sources, both parties remain in their respective establishments and do not reach an agreement.
The situation makes mediation efforts will be carried out again on September 11.
Legal disputes between newjeans and Ador members began in November 2024, when the five singers unilaterally argued that their contract with Ador was canceled because Ador failed to fulfill the agreement.

Newjeans also believes that the dismissal of CEO Ador Min Hee-Jin has “destroyed the relationship of trust,” and that gave them a reason to end the contract.
Ador submitted a court order to Newjeans members to prevent them from making their own music and holding activities outside the agency, along with a lawsuit that claimed that the contract was still valid.
The Seoul High Court also accepted Ador’s lawsuit and rejected Newjeans’ appeal regarding the prohibition of the group’s own activities outside Ador as the first agency.
The court’s decision prohibits the Independent Newjeans (NJZ) activity, then the final, following no re -appeal submitted by the girl group or its legal counsel in the specified time.
Although not appealing, five Newjeans members revealed the main requirements that made them want to return to Ador, one of which was the agency must be returned to normal, before the polemic of their former CEO, Min Hee-Jin opponents Hybe.
The request was conveyed because Newjeans felt that Ador was currently filled with the leaders of Hybe, Ador’s parent company.
