Israeli Prime Minister
Benjamin Netanyahu
said that getting rid of the
Hamas leader
will end the war in Gaza,
Palestine
.
“Hamas terrorist leaders who live in Qatar do not care about the people in Gaza. They blocked all the ceasefire efforts to extend the war without stopping,” Netanyahu said on Saturday (9/13), quoted from

.
“Getting rid of them will get rid of the main obstacles to free all our hostages and end the war,” he added.
Netanyahu’s statement appeared shortly after Foreign Minister Marco Rubio that although President Donald Trump was “unhappy” with Qatar’s attack, the AS-Israeli Alliance would not be affected.
“This will not change the nature of our relationship with Israel, but we must discuss it – especially, what is the impact,” Rubio said.
Meanwhile, the main Israeli group who urged the liberation of prisoners in Gaza said that Netanyahu was an obstacle to ending the war and freeing the abduction victims.
“The targeted operation in Qatar proves without doubt that there is one obstacle to repatriate … the hostages and end the war: Prime Minister Netanyahu. Every time the agreement approaches, Netanyahu is sabotaging it,” said the hostage forum and the family disappeared in a statement, quoted from
Al Jazeera
.
Israel launched an attack on Tuesday (9/9) which targeted the leadership of the Hamas group in Doha, Qatar. The attack triggered broad criticism from various countries.
Trump himself expressed his displeasure towards Israel, calling the attack a unilateral act that did not benefit the interests of the US and Israel.
The attack killed five Hamas members and a Qatar security official, who was then discussing the new agreement submitted by the US to end the war in Gaza.
On the other hand, the General Assembly of the United Nations or the United Nations with the majority votes supported the non-binding resolution on Friday (12/9) which advocated a solution of two countries for Israel and Palestine.
This resolution was passed a few hours after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejected the idea of the formation of a Palestinian state.
Of the 193 UN member countries, 142 countries supported the New York declaration, 10 opposed, and 12 others chose abstain. The resolution proposed by France and Saudi Arabia supports the recognition of an independent Palestinian state and projects the solution of two countries.
Since October 2023, more than 64,000 Palestinians have been killed in this conflict.Qatar is known as the main mediator in negotiations to end the war.
