“Where this appeal is solely to maintain the safety of the community around the training area considering that the training will be carried out using Alutsista Starstreak and MLRS Astros II MK 6,” he said
He said the TNI had carried out outreach to residents around the training area.
According to him, residents received a positive and enthusiastic response and fully supported the training that would be held on Natuna Island.
He said that many local residents also helped in preparing the training area, such as participating in the construction of a viewing tower and the creation of a security post.
Several residents, he said, lent their sleeping areas to be used as training areas.
