revealed that he had contacted US President Donald Trump regarding the granting of forgiveness to his clients. This was conveyed after their motion was rejected by the judge earlier this week.
P’s lawyer Diddy, Nicole Westmoreland, said they had even discussed with Trump’s government representatives related to the potential for forgiveness of the prostitution defendant.
However, he did not reveal the details related to the discussion or figure who was Trump’s representative in the discussion.
“As far as I know, we have contacted and discussed related to forgiveness,” lawyer Nicole Westmoreland told

The statement emerged the day after the US District Judge Arun Subramanian rejected the request for the release of P Diddy which made the Mogul must remain locked up in prison until the verdict hearing in October 2025.
In May 2025, before P Diddy was found guilty, Trump in a press conference had said “he would definitely see the facts” related to the maestro case, because he “did not pay much attention to him.”

Until June 2025, P Diddy was found guilty of two accusations related to prostitution. However, he is free from accusations of sex trade and extreme extortion that is actually more serious than prostitution.
After the jury released P Diddy for his most serious allegations, the musician now faced a maximum sentence of 20 years, whereas before he faced a life imprisonment.
Two violations related to prostitution based on the Mann Law have a maximum sentence of 10 years each.
Trump was then asked again about the possibility of giving forgiveness to P Diddy last week in an interview with Newsmax.
“I was very friendly with him, I was in harmony with him, and he looked like a good person. I did not know him well. But when I nominated myself, he was very hostile,” Trump answered at the time.
Trump added that even though “we don’t like things obscuring our judgment,” “bad statement” P Diddy about him in the past makes the forgiveness “more difficult to give.”
Apart from Trump’s latest statement about the possibility of forgiveness, Westmoreland told shesocial that P Diddy “was a very hopeful person, and I was sure to remain optimistic” about his opportunities.
The Hollywood Reporter contacted the White House, but they refused to comment.
