“A number of Qadhi and great scholars from foreign countries were also present in our middle,” Nasaruddin said at the Istiqlal Mosque, Central Jakarta, Sunday (10/8).
“This is a sign that Indonesia has a tendency that is highly expected by other nations to become a modern Islamic world civilization,” he continued.
The Minister of Religion as well as the High Priest of the Istiqlal Mosque then said that it is now the right moment for Indonesia to be able to perform on the stage of the Islamic Islamic Civilization.
According to Nasaruddin, the potential emerged from the situation in Indonesia relatively economically, political, to the harmonious citizens.He said the situation was promising and difficult to obtain other Islamic countries in the world.
“Maybe they consider it time that Indonesia will appear to give birth to new Islamic civilizations in a very stable economy, very stable politics, and also very peaceful,” he said.
“This is very promising and difficult to obtain other countries, especially the Islamic world,” continued Nasaruddin.
Minister of Religion Nasaruddin later said that Indonesia became one of the Islamic countries that was safe from the state conflict, especially when compared to the situation in the Middle East.
He added that stability was inseparable from the harmony of interfaith citizens, considering that the Indonesian people were known for their high tolerance between religious communities.
“We strongly believe that if religious communities explore their respective religions, then God willing, each will be more difficult to find differences between one religion and another,” said Nasaruddin.
The national dhikr and national defense pledge were attended by thousands of worshipers who came from various regions in Indonesia.The congregation not only came from the Jakarta area, but also outside the capital city.
Thousands of worshipers from outside Jakarta were present with groups of various regions, such as Tegal, Cirebon, Solo, Purwakarta, to Boyolali.
A number of state officials also attended the event, including Nasaruddin Umar, Member of Wantimpres Habib Lutfi, Coordinating Minister for Food for Food Zulkifli Hasan, P2MI Minister Abdul Kadir Karding, to Menbud Fadli Zon.
