Minister of Hajj and Umrah Mochamad Irfan Yusuf alias Gus Irfan
visited the Corruption Eradication Commission Building (

), Jakarta, Friday (3/10).
Gus Irfan and the ranks arrived at the KPK Red and White Building at around 13.47 WIB.He didn’t say much when confirmed about the agenda.

“Later, later, yes,” Gus Irfan told the media crew.
Confirmed separately, KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo explained a meeting with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah today in the context of a corruption prevention hearing.
Budi said that related to the implementation of the pilgrimage, the KPK not only supported through enforcement efforts, but also through the prevention system.
“One of them is through a study to take pictures of corruption-prone points and provide recommendations for improving the system in the implementation of this worship,” he said.
The KPK, continued Budi, hopes that through these two approaches it can ignite the steps to improve the implementation of the pilgrimage and Umrah.
“The KPK is also always open to synergizing and collaborating with ministries, institutions, and local governments in an effort to eradicate corruption, one of which is to support the realization of good governance,” he concluded.
At present, the KPK is investigating alleged corruption cases related to the additional pilgrimage quota for the organization of 2024. There have been many witnesses both from the elements of the Ministry of Religion and the Hajj travel agency conducted by an examination.
The KPK has also made forced efforts such as searching and confiscation of evidence, such as documents, electronic evidence (BBE), to four -wheeled vehicles and property.
The KPK has prevented three people from traveling abroad for six months.They are former Minister of Religion Yaqut Cholil Qouumas, staff especially Ishfah Abidal Aziz, and owner of Maktour Travel travel agent, Fuad Hasan Masyhur.
Based on the initial calculation of the KPK, found state losses in the alleged corruption case of additional quotas in 2023-2024 reached more than Rp1 trillion.This finding will be further coordinated with the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK).
