Calvin Verdonk
and friends from RC Lens in Ligue 1.
Verdonk, who was transferred from NEC Nijmegen, underwent a debut match in Lille as a substitute when facing Lens on Saturday (9/20) evening local time or Sunday (9/21) morning.
The Indonesian national team player entered in the 18th minute replacing Romain Perraud injured.
Lille’s winning goals were recorded by Wesley Said in the 28th minute, Floran Thauvin in the 43rd minute, and Rayan Fofana in the 52nd minute.
The results of the 0-3 defeat also became a match with the first negative results for Lille this season.

“This defeat brought a hidden blessing. Since the beginning of the season, we received a lot of praise. I said after the match in Lorient that football is a matter of opportunity. And maybe we all have forgotten the basics of top football.”
“Tonight, we are reminded of the importance of our actions. This can help us react on Thursday in the [League] Europa. We have to learn from this match. We feel the fans are very disappointed,” said Genesio.
