“Thank you to the ranks of the Directorate of Security and Safety who have revitalized real programs in the field,” he said in a written statement, Sejin (10/11).
Agus said that one of the revitalization programs that was the main focus was the Greeting Traffic Police, specifically traffic safety and security.
He explained that this program involved educational activities such as Little Police (Pocil), School Security Patrol (PKS) and the development of the Indonesia Safety Driving Center (ISDC).
Furthermore, Agus said that the revitalization of the existing ISDC is also important to build a culture of orderly traffic and emphasize the number of accidents caused by human error.
He said that through the revitalization of ISDC, it is hoped that it can become a center for developing traffic safety, driver education and public education about traffic.
“Therefore, today we are formulating together what facilities and infrastructure we must equip. So that it is really neat, can be a model and maybe even neighboring countries will learn from us,” he explained.
“Because the function there is to provide safety guidance, continuing to educate drivers, including general education, traffic is at ISDC,” he added.
Finally, Agus said that through the Traffic Police Greeting program, his party also collects security and safety data as material for analysis and evaluation to reduce the number of traffic accidents.
“The appropriate steps taken by the Traffic Directorate with what data, to reduce the fatalities of accident victims, include the target of public education,” he concluded.
