Based on Fotmob statistics, the Indonesian National Team is superior in several aspects of ball control (55 percent) and total kicks (9 times). However, Iraq played more effectively with seven shots, two of which were on target, plus the only goal from Zidane Iqbal in the 76th minute.
“It’s not just me [who is disappointed]. It’s the whole country, players and staff. We’ve worked hard with the match on the 8th [October] and playing again three days later.”
“Our performance was fantastic today and I am very proud of the players who showed their big heart and passion,” said Kluivert.
“But unfortunately, the results were again not in our favor. By creating opportunities, we showed a good football game. But from one incident, we lost the match,” he added.
Furthermore, Kluivert emphasized that the next plans for the Indonesian National Team had not yet emerged. He still needs to digest reality and at the same time surrender to what happens in the future.
“There are no plans yet. I still have to reflect on what we have done, and I don’t have the answers yet. I really don’t know what will happen,” he said.
