Jeon Do-yeon, Sul Kyung-gu, Zo In-Sung, and Cho Yeo-Jeong officially starred in the latest film project titled
Possible Love
.The film was at the same time the comeback of Korean iconic director Lee Chang-dong after Burning (2018).
The news was announced by Netflix as the studio and streaming platform that houses the production of Lee Chang-dong’s seventh long film.
“Director Lee Chang-dong returned to work after eight years with Possible Love. Starring Jeon Do-Yeon (Kill Boksoon), Sul Kyung-Gu (A Normal Family), Zo In-Sung (Moving), and Cho Yeo-Jeong (Parasite),” wrote @netflix on social media on Tuesday (5/8).
According to Netflix’s announcement, the film carries a story that shows the lives of two married couples.The two couples lived the opposite life.
Until then, their world collided with each other and changed life.The rift then began to have an impact on the household of each pair.
Jeon Do-yeon and Sol Kyung-gu will play a husband and wife named Mi-ok and Ho-seok.This film is the fourth time they collaborated after playing in I Wish I Had a Wife (2001), Birthday (2019), and Kill Boksoon (2023).
The second couple stars Zo In-sung as Sang-woo and Cho Yeo-jeong as Ye-ji.The two Korean big screen stars will collaborate for the first time in Possible Love.
This film is a reunion for Lee Chang-dong with Jeon Do-Yeon and Sul Kyung-gu.The director once hooked Jeon Do-Yeon as the main actor of Secret Sunshine (2007) which made him win the Best Actress award at the Cannes Film Festival.
Meanwhile, the collaboration of Lee Chang-dong and Sul Kyung-gu took place twice at the beginning of the 71-year-old director’s career.They work together for the film Peppermint Candy (1999) and Oasis (2002).
Lee Chang-dong also attracted Oh Jung-mi to return to writing a Possible Love scenario.The two of them previously worked together to work on the Burning manuscript.
However, there is no detailed information about the supporting actors or the schedule for the screening of Possible Love.

Possible Love will be the latest work of the director and writer Lee Chang-dong.He finally actively worked on a long film since Burning (2018), although he had released a short film Heartbeat (2022).
Lee Chang-dong is known as a famous Korean director who has given birth to various iconic works.He recorded released six long films, but almost all of his work always received a warm welcome to critics and spectators.
Oasis (2002), his third work, won the Silver Lion for Best Direction award at the Venice Film Festival.Secret Sunshine (2007) won a cannes cup for the film Festival, as well as Poetry (2010) who won the Best Screenplay Award at Cannes.
Burning (2018) which became the last long film worked on by the director before the hiatus also reap praise.The film won various trophies and was nominated by Palme d’Or in Cannes.
The film also drove quite far for the Best Foreign Language Oscar film category, became the first Korean work to have successfully penetrated the prestigious category.
