Corruption Eradication Commission
(KPK) asked for information from three people from the Ministry of Religion (

) related to the investigation of alleged corruption in the Hajj quota, Monday (4/8).

“Today the KPK is really requesting several parties related to the handling of the Hajj quota case,” said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo when confirmed at his office, Jakarta, Monday (4/8) night.
Budi has not been able to provide more information because the process is still in the stages of investigation that is closed and confidential.He only explained that the investigation team asked for information from the parties suspected of knowing information related to the alleged corruption that was being explored.
“In the examination or request for information in this case, the KPK has made a request for information, before it has also been carried out to those who allegedly can provide information and information needed by the KPK,” he said.
“Of course to complete the information needed so that this case can be complete immediately,” he added.
On that occasion, Budi emphasized that the handling of the case was still in the investigation stage, aka not yet rising investigation so that no suspect was named.
“The information I received has not been (riding a fingerprint),” he said.
Since June 2025, the KPK has invited and summoned a number of parties to be questioned in investigating the alleged corruption of the Hajj quota.Among them are the Head of the Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH) Fadlul Imansyah to the preacher Khalid Basalamah.
KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto said the alleged corruption case of special hajj quota did not only occur in 2024. Setyo suspected that this alleged corruption also occurred in previous years.
“Yes, before,” said Setyo at the Bhayangkara Field at the National Police Headquarters, Jakarta, Saturday (6/21).
