(2026).
Erick conveyed this when receiving a visit from the Chair of the Indonesian National Paralympic Committee (NPC), Senny Marbun and the Chef de Mission (CdM) of the Indonesian contingent for the 2026 ASEAN Para Games, Reda Manthovani at the Indonesian Ministry of Youth and Sports Office, Jakarta, Monday (10/11).
“Earlier I received the Chairman of the NC and the Chef de Mission. There were two things I said, first about synchronizing programs so that from today until 2029, the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the NPC can sit down together to discuss plans and programs,” said Erick.

“Then secondly, it was stated earlier that for the ASEAN [Para] Games the target is 120 gold. Because they see that Thailand as the host is very aggressive and definitely wants to win, more or less their [target] is 174 gold,” Erick added.
With a target of 120 gold, Indonesia is projected to finish in second place in the final medal standings for the 2026 ASEAN Para Games. This means that the runner up title itself comes down to the achievements of the Red and White contingent who were overall champions at the 2023 ASEAN Para Games in Cambodia.
“So if you look at the map, it is indeed the number two position that we can target. We have to be open and don’t be shy,” said Erick.
The 2025 ASEAN Para Games (2026) will take place in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand on 20-26 January 2026. There are 19 sports with 536 events that will be contested.
CdM of the Indonesian Contingent for the 2025 ASEAN Para Games, Reda Manthovani conveyed the latest preparations for the athletes. The training camp (TC) in Karanganyar, Central Java has been held since October.
“Earlier we were told that our target is approximately 120 gold medals. We hope that we can achieve it. We have been conducting National Training since last month until the next two months,” said Reda.
