Elected based on the results of the Plenary Congress X which was held in Ancol, Jakarta, Sunday (9/28) morning.
Agus is claimed to be chosen by acclamation after becoming a sole candidate.The decision was read by the Head of the VIII Muktamar Plenary Session, Qoyum Abdul Jabbar.

“With this, Mr. Agus Suparmanto was determined as the General Chairperson of PPP, 2025-2030 service period,” Qoyum said.
The determination of Agus was conveyed after some time before, Muhamad Mardiono was also determined as a candidate for elected general chairman.Mardiono is said to be elected acclamation because no other candidate is present.
Referring to the PPP’s Articles of Association and Bylaws, candidates for general chairman must be present at the location of the conference during the election process.
Chairperson of the Sterring Committee of Congress X as well as Deputy Chairperson of PPP Ermalena said that the stipulation of Agus was invalid according to ART ART.First, Agus never held a position one level under the general chairman.Second, Agus is also not a PPP cadre.
“Agus Suparmanto’s acclamation claim is certainly invalid,” Ermalena said.
Congress X PPP in Ancol, North Jakarta, Saturday (27/9) was colored by chaos with the action of throwing each other’s seats between the conference participants.
PPP Council Chairman Muhammad Romahurmuziy alias Rommy rejected Mardiono’s claim as the elected general chairman for the 2025-2030 period.
Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the other PPP Congress X Session, Amir Uskara said the determination of Mardiono as a candidate for the general chairman was elected based on the rules of the Articles of Association and Bylaws (AD ART).
Mardiono said he was ready to continue the task.From the beginning, he admitted that he was ready whatever the decision of the conference who chose a new general chairman candidate.
“From the beginning I said if I was given a mandate back to Bismillah if not, thank God, in principle, I am ready to carry out the mandate, thank you very much for the support of the majority of Muktamirin,” Mardiono said in his written statement, Saturday (9/27).
