Adam Damiri brought a number of new evidence to be submitted in the review process (

) against the sentence of 16 years in prison in a case of alleged corruption in the management of Asabri insurance funds.
Adam Damiri’s attorney, Deolipa Yumara said the evidence brought would show that Adam Damiri had never enriching himself during his tenure.
“Novum (new evidence in the form of) financial statements, registration treatments, and evidence of account, stock, and dividends are strong evidence that our clients are not worthy of being convicted,” Deolipa told reporters on Sunday (5/10).

Deoolipa explained that the financial statements of the financial statements contained the financial statements of Asabri in 2011-2015 which had been audited by the Public Accountant and approved by the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK).
In the financial statements, Deolipa claimed it would be proven that Asabri’s income had experienced a significant increase in 2011.
“Asabri’s revenue rose from Rp1.56 trillion in 2011 to Rp4.16 trillion in 2015. The profit after tax also jumped from Rp76.4 billion to Rp346.7 billion,” he said.
Not only that, according to Deolipa, the state also still receives a dividend of hundreds of billions of rupiah every year which is paid through the Ministry of SOEs to the State Treasury.
Then, said Deolipa, the results of the BPK audit of Asabri under the leadership of Adam Damari also always received a Fair Opinion without Exception (WTP).
“So there has never been a BPK finding related to financial abuse in the period of his leadership,” he said.
Deolipa also questioned the loss of Asabri which was the basis for the prosecution of Adam Damiri.Because the loss of Rp2 trillion called Asabri was the impact of the value of fluctuating shares.
“So during the leadership of Adam Damiri, Asabri bought shares from a third party and at that time was in a high risk position and down, but it was not certain, so it was still fluctuating, because the name of the stock was up and down, when it went down was considered a loss but when it rose was considered profitable,” he said.
Furthermore, Deolipa said that his party also had new evidence in the form of account mutations. This evidence, according to Deolipa, will show that there is no flow of funds from Asabri entering Adam Damiri’s personal account or his family.
“The transactions recorded in 2017-2018 and 2010 are purely a return of personal debt to Adam Damiri in a different business context, which has nothing to do with Asabri. So it is not funds from ASABRI either and not from his affiliator,” he said.
Previously, former President Director of PT ASABRI Adam Damiri would submit a review (PK) of the sentence of 16 years in prison in a case of alleged corruption in the management of Asabri insurance funds.
The Jakarta High Court Judges are known to have sentenced 15 years in prison plus a fine of Rp800 million in 6 months confidant to the President Director of PT ASABRI for the period 2008-2016 Adam Damiri.
The Panel of Judges Appeals stated that the first-level court in the imprisonment of imprisonment had not yet considered the alleviation.
The verdict was knocked on May 19, 2022 with the composition of Tjokorda Rai Suamba as Chief Judge, with Singgih Member Judge Budi Prakoso;Artha Theresia;Anthon R Saragih;and Hotma Maya Marbun.
Although Adam’s sentence was reduced at the appeal level, this verdict was still heavier than the prosecutor’s demands of 10 years in prison plus a fine of Rp 750 million in 6 months in prison.
