dismantling a drug lord’s network
Dewi Astutik
alias Mami who was recently arrested in Cambodia.
Martin said Dewi had an important role in the syndicate that connected suppliers from the Golden Triangle, the Golden Crescent route, to the distribution of narcotics to East and Southeast Asia.
Therefore, according to him, this arrest must be a momentum to open the network structure as a whole down to the level of donors and field operators.

“Don’t stop at one name. This arrest must be used to pull a long thread: who is the supplier, who is the logistics operator, who is laundering the funds, and who is the protector. All of this must be revealed,” said Martin in his statement, Wednesday (3/12).
He praised the steps taken by BNN, Bais TNI, in arresting Mami. The arrest process shows that law enforcement officers do not work alone.
“The main message is clear: states are present, states are pursuing, and states are not afraid to confront international cartels,” Martin said.
On the other hand, he also asked the government to strengthen intelligence analysis of increasingly adaptive syndicate movement patterns.According to him, Dewi’s relationship with Fredy Pratama’s network indicates that narcotics criminal groups now intersect and support each other.
“This is not a small gang. Law enforcement must cut all the knots, including the flow of international funds that support their operations,” he said.
The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) together with Interpol and the TNI AD’s Strategic Intelligence Agency (BAIS) previously arrested fugitive Dewi Astutik who was involved in a methamphetamine case worth IDR 5 trillion in Cambodia on Monday (1/12).
The 43 year old woman has been a female worker (TKW) in several Asian countries.Dewi was arrested on Monday (1/12), and immediately picked up by the Head of BNN, Komjen Suyudi Ario Seto in Cambodia and flown to Jakarta.
