Data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of DKI Jakarta shows that the poverty rate in Jakarta in March 2025 amounted to 4.28 percent, up 0.14 percent compared to September 2024 which was 4.14 percent.
Whereas compared to the previous year (March 2024), the poverty rate in March 2025 fell 0.02 percent points from 4.3 percent to 4.28 percent.

He said in urban areas such as Jakarta, the burden of living expenses, access to basic services, and job demands is often a major consideration in the decision to build the family.
In relation to Jakarta’s efforts to become a global city, Iin said that it was not merely from economic growth and infrastructure, but also from the city’s efforts to foster superior, healthy, and adaptive human resources to social change.
Therefore, said Iin, education about family planning, readiness to be parents, and strengthening family institutions remain a priority in realizing sustainable development.
