Aziz as Head of Environment II, Pahang Village, Datuk Bandar District, Tanjungbalai City said the man arrested with the initials RR (29).The arrest was made on Monday (6/10) morning.
“Yes, there was arrested Detachment 88 around 08.30 WIB this morning,” said Aziz who helped accompany the search by the Detachment 88 team at the house inhabited by RR.

According to Aziz the arrest took place quickly.Then the Detachment 88 team moved to search the RR house in the densely populated area.
“RR was immediately secured by fully armed officers. He was arrested while outside the house,” he said.
Aziz added, RR had lived in the house for two years with his wife and child.Even so, administratively, RR is still listed as a citizen of Asahan Regency.
“During this time he looks ordinary, never makes noisy. His work is also not very well known by residents,” he added.
After the arrest, Detachment 88 officers immediately sealed the RR house.A number of items were brought from inside the house.The search process itself was accompanied by the village officials and local police.
“Residents around can only watch from a distance, because the area around the house is tightly guarded by armed officers,” he said.
The news of the Detachment 88 operation was justified by Tanjungbalai Police Public Relations, Iptu M Ruslan.He said the arrest was made entirely by the Detachment 88 team, while the police only carried out security around the location.
“That’s right, there is a Detachment 88 activity on the road. But for the results we cannot convey because it is handled directly by the Detachment,” Ruslan said briefly.
Until now, there has been no official statement from the National Police Headquarters regarding the complete identity of the RR or the alleged terrorism network involving him.
Tanjungbalai, known as a port city on the east coast of North Sumatra, has been the location of Detachment 88 operations in recent years.
