Indonesia (PFI) promised to help the President
Prabowo Subianto
to alleviate
poverty
in the country.
Chairman of the PFI Advisory Council Franciscus Welirang defined the philanthropy as a form of love for others.Therefore, he emphasized that philanthropic activity could not stand alone.
“Philanthropic strengthens its contribution by being actively involved in supporting the implementation of the National Action Plan; Sustainable Development Objectives; as well as various other development priority agendas, including poverty alleviation,” he said in the Philanthropy of the 2025 Festival at the Bappenas Office, Central Jakarta, Monday (4/8).
The man who also served as Director of PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk also invited Indonesian philanthropics to improve the quality of education.
Their efforts are also claimed to be aiming at strengthening health services, climate change mitigation, economic empowerment, and strengthening civil society.
He emphasized that the importance of philanthropic actions indeed played a key role.Nevertheless, the man who is familiarly called Franky stressed the importance of a strong synergy between public policy and the initiative of the philanthropic sector.
“Social inequality to technological disruption, we realize that there are no actors who can run alone. All can, must be together. Answers to global challenges can only be found through synergy that crosses boundaries, sectors, generation boundaries, even state boundaries,” said Franky.
“Philanthropic culture cannot stand alone, but must be supported by a healthy and supportive ecosystem. Includes progressive regulations, actor networks that strengthen governance, transparency and accountability, adaptive institutional capacity, as well as open data and knowledge systems in joint learning,” he continued.
Meanwhile, the Minister of National Development Planning/ Head of the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) Rachmat Pambudy was grateful for the support of philanthropics.
Rachmat even claimed he and the child grew and developed thanks to the presence of philanthropic.
President Prabowo Subianto’s subordinate assessed that philanthropic action was the first step to develop Indonesia more sustainably.In fact, Rachmat considered that the community could not only depend entirely on the government.
“According to our consideration in what I have been studying too, if the community has begun to gather and build awareness with a spirit of self -sufficiency, this is the beginning of the real national development. So, do not only depend on the government,” explained Rachmat.
“It is true that the government can provide direction, make regulations, make regulations and laws. But this must be aware of the people themselves. The community itself must realize that development is for all of us,” he added.
