cigarettes
and 19,511 bottles of drinks containing illegal ethyl alcohol (MMEA) worth IDR 26.1 billion.
Director General of Customs and Excise, Djaka Budi Utama, said that the illegal goods destroyed were the result of action taken by the Jakarta Regional Office (Kanwil).In detail, illegal cigarettes worth IDR 16.2 billion and MMEA worth IDR 9.9 billion.
“We emphasize that Customs and Excise will continue to be at the forefront in guarding borders, protecting the public, and ensuring the national economy continues to grow healthily,” said Djaka at the Destruction of Illegal BKC at the Jakarta Customs Regional Office, Wednesday (3/12).

The Jakarta Customs and Excise Regional Office said that the 13.4 million cigarettes destroyed had the potential to cost the state IDR 10.5 billion.This figure is calculated from the value of excise and cigarette taxes.
Meanwhile, 19,511 bottles of MMEA, equivalent to 12,864.82 liters, are claimed to have the potential to cause losses to the state of IDR 21.1 billion.
DJBC calculates it from the value of excise duty, import duty, value added tax (VAT) and income tax (PPh).
The symbolic destruction was carried out at the Jakarta Customs and Excise Regional Office.At the same time, illegal goods were also destroyed at PT Solusi Bangun Indonesia’s destruction facility in Gunung Putri, West Java.
“Thank you for the consistency of the Regional Office (Jakarta) staff in carrying out the Kemayoran Tiger operation which continues to be the driving force for monitoring excisable goods,” said Djaka.
Furthermore, Djaka reminded that this action was the result of collaboration between all relevant parties.
“Of course, this result is not working alone or independently, but we are working together or collaborating with all related stakeholders and based on information provided by the community,” he said.
