General Listyo Sigit Prabowo appointed Inspector General Dadang Hartanto as
Maluku Police Chief

Dadang previously served as Chairman of the Polri Lemdiklat STIK.He replaced Inspector General Eddy Sumitro Tambunan who was transferred to Pati Bareskrim Polri in the context of retirement.
Dadang was known to have been lined up as the commander of the 79th Bhayangkara Day commemoration ceremony on July 1.
The figure of Dadang then stole the public’s attention after being asked to face President Prabowo Subianto after becoming a ceremonial commander.
“After the ceremony faced me, thank you,” continued Prabowo before closing the ceremony.
Dadang is a police figure who is not only known in police institutions, but also in the academic domain.
Dadang became a high -ranking officer with a strong scientific background, Inspector General Dadang held a complete academic degree: Prof.Dr.Dadang Hartanto, S.H., S.I.K., M.Sc.
Quoted from the official website of the Police College (STIK), Inspector General Dadang was born on November 24, 1971 and was a graduate of the Police Academy (Akpol) in 1994.
Dadang was also listed as a professor in the field of Public Administration at the University of Muhammadiyah, North Sumatra (UMSU).He was confirmed as a professor in 2023.
In his scientific speech, he presented the concept of learning governance based on learning organization in the Vuca era, which was considered a breakthrough in the development of an adaptive and responsive government administration system for the dynamics of the times.
Dadang’s career in the Bhayangkara Corps is relatively long and diverse, especially in the fields of detective and operational leadership.
He once served as Senen Police Chief in 2005, then continued his duties as Subang Police Chief (2009) and Cianjur Police Chief (2011).His leadership experience was also seen when he was the Deputy Chief of Bandung (2012), and the Medan Police Chief (2017).
Dadang also served as Pabungkol Spripim Polri, the main assessor of Bagpenkompeten Robinkar SSDM Polri (2014), Intermediate Policy Analyst in the Criminal Investigation Police Criminal Investigation (2017), and Karorenmin Bareskrim Polri (2019).
In addition, he also served as Sespri National Police Chief and Koorsipripim Polri, two strategic positions that showed the high level of trust from the National Police leadership.
Dadang was also recorded as the North Sumatra Deputy Police Chief in 2020 before then entering the National Police Lemdiklat environment.
