Launching a new feature called Study Mode which is intended to help understand the steps in solving the problem, not just getting answers.
“Today, we introduce the learning mode in chatgpt-learning experience that helps you overcome the problem of step by step, not just to get answers. Starting today, this mode is available for users who log in with free status, plus, pro, team, and will be available at Edu chatgpt in the next few weeks,” Openai wrote on his page, Tuesday (29/7).
OpenAi claims chatgpt as one of the most widely used learning aids.They say students use their platforms to prepare themselves to face exams to explore new concepts.
The use of chatgpt and other AI platforms in the world of education raises the question whether these platforms can really help learning, or just give answers.
Therefore, Openai builds learning modes to answer this question.When students use learning mode, they will be welcomed with guidance questions that adjust the response based on their goals and skills, to help build a deeper understanding
Study mode or learning mode has several main features, namely interactive prompt, multilevel response, personalized support, knowledge examination, and flexibility.
The interactive prompt combines Socrates questions, instructions, and invitations for self-reflection to guide understanding and encourage active learning, instead of directly giving answers.
With multilevel response features, information is arranged in parts that are easy to follow and highlight the main links between topics, keep the delivery interesting with the right context, and reduce the sense of overwhelm in complex topics.
Meanwhile, personalized support adjusts lessons to the right level for users, based on questions that assess the level of skills and memory of previous chat.
Then, the knowledge examination feature presents quizzes and open questions together with personalized feedback to track progress, support the retention of knowledge, and the ability to apply that knowledge in a new context.
While flexibility allows learning mode to be activated and deactivated easily during the conversation, giving users the freedom to adjust to the learning objectives in each conversation.
