He explained this year the KUR Housing ceiling reached Rp130 trillion with interest subsidies of around 5.5 percent-6 percent.This scheme was carried out through banks member of the State-Owned Bank Association (Himbara), including PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN), to help overcome housing backlogs that are still around 15 million units.
“And for us, of course, from and between Himbara Bank, we do fully support the program of public housing and subsidized because this is indeed something we must do as a country long ago,” he said.
Rosan added that the government through the Ministry of Finance also distributed an additional Rp25 trillion specifically for BTN that could be used in the construction of housing construction.
“We will be full support for this very positive initiative, especially in the creation of public housing. I am sure this will continue to make a very large, very positive contribution to the development of Indonesia,” he said.
In addition, funds of Rp200 trillion have also entered the Himbara Bank, including BTN, to strengthen the financing of the productive sector.He said the housing sector meets the criteria because it is able to create large jobs.
He is optimistic that the financing support will accelerate the realization of the 3 million house development target launched by President Prabowo Subianto.
For information, the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs determines the 2025 Housing KUR ceiling of Rp130 trillion.Of that amount, Rp117 trillion is allocated to the supply side, such as developers, contractors, and building material providers, while Rp13 trillion for the demand side or final consumer.
The government provides interest subsidies of around 5-6 percent with a maximum tenor of 4-5 years, so that credit costs can be more affordable for businesses and the community.
