PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI ensures that all banking services in the North Sumatra and West Sumatra regions will return to normal operations after being affected by floods and landslides in the last few days.
BNI ensures that service recovery is carried out quickly.This includes the use of global satellite internet services at a number of outlets so that customer transactions continue without obstacles.
BNI Corporate Secretary Okki Rushartomo said that the restoration of this service was part of BNI’s commitment to remain present for the community in the midst of an emergency situation.

“We want to ensure that people can still access financial services even in times of disaster, because the continuity of financial transactions is very important for their daily needs,” said Okki in a written statement, Wednesday (3/12).
BNI deployed satellite-based connectivity support at Gunung Sitoli, Sibolga, Pandan and Teluk Dalam outlets.According to Okki, all these points are now fully functional so that banking operational processes can run optimally again.
Okki added that 12 BNI outlets that were previously affected by the flood are now returning to normal operations serving customers in the Medan, Sibolga and Gunung Sitoli areas.
“Apart from that, 47 ATMs which were not functioning due to standing water have returned to operation,” he said.
Apart from that, Okko also said that BNI also opened limited operational services to help people who were flood victims.
This service will open on 29 November 2025 at BNI KC Gunung Sitoli, and 30 November 2025 at BNI KC Sibolga and BNI KCP Pandan, to ensure urgent financial transaction needs can still be served.
According to Okki, BNI ensured that it would continue to monitor developments in the situation and prepare further steps to maintain the stability of banking services in the affected areas.
BNI also emphasized its commitment to providing safe, reliable and sustainable access to services for all customers, especially in emergency conditions when financial services are very vital.
