, Aline Brosh McKenna, responded to the high enthusiasm of the public over the film that was undergoing a period of filming in New York City.
The enthusiasm of the 2006 film sequel has been very high since the shooting began a few weeks ago, even Local residents of New York City often recapped and revealed the actions of Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep when shooting.
McKenna who also wrote The Devil Wears Prada (2006) told Indiewire that the positive response from local residents was very helpful for this film, although there was a view that it became a spoiler of the story and clothing of this film.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 officially began production in early July 2025. The sequel to the HIT film was confirmed to have again displayed three main actors, namely Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and Emily Blunt.
Variety on Monday (6/30) also reported that Stanley Tucci would return in the sequel to The Devil Wears Prada (2006) with the actresses to portray their respective characters.
In addition, The Devil Wears Prada 2 will be enlivened by the appearance of Kenneth Branagh as the husband of Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep), the chief editor of the Runway magazine who is very demanding.
The plot details for the sequel have not been confirmed, but the storyline is reported to be focused on Miranda Priestly when he underwent his career in the midst of a decline in the publishing of traditional magazines.
He faces Emily Charlton (Emily Blunt), his former assistant who is now a senior executive for luxury groups with advertising funds that are very much needed by Priestly.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 is scheduled to appear in theaters on May 1, 2026. The film filled a slot that was originally owned by Avengers: Doomsday and confirmed to resign to 18 December 2026.
