, Herry Iman Piergadi, insisted he wanted to bring Malaysian doubles to become world champions in the 2025 World Championship.
Herry IP lived a good start since holding Malaysia’s men’s doubles number on February 1.Herry IP has brought Malaysia’s doubles to win five titles.
The details, Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik won three titles including the Asian Championship.In addition, two other titles were when bringing Arif Junaidi/Yap Roy King champion Macau Open and Man Wei Chong/Tee Kai Wun Wun Champion Malaysia Masters.
After a slick start, Herry IP confirmed his ambition to be able to bring Malaysian doubles to become world champions.
“I hope we can have a world champion this year, no matter which couple. The important thing is from Malaysia,” Herry IP was quoted as saying from daily news.
Malaysia itself will send four pairs to the 2025 World Championship. Three pairs come from BAM Pelatnas namely Aaron/SOH, Arif/Yap, and Man/Tee.
One other representative is Goh Sze Fei/Nur Izzuddin who is now independent’s career.Arif/Yap itself was previously included in the Reserve List.
But they were finally able to qualify for the main drawing after other players resigned including Muhammad Shohibul Fikri/Daniel Marthin from Indonesia.
Malaysia only has one world title in their history.The only title was presented by Aaron/SOH at the 2022 World Championship by defeating Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan in the final round.
The 2025 World Championship will be held in Paris on August 25-31 2025.
