The US has arrived at the “place that should be”.
“They are in the area, in the place they should,” Trump told reporters before returning from his golf resort in New Jersey, Sunday (3/8).
Trump’s statement was made following his quarrel with former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.
Trump was previously involved in an argument with Medvedev after the former president threatened that his country would attack the US if Trump continued to act with all his ultimatum.
“Whether it’s 50 days or 10 days … He must remember 2 things: 1. Russia is not Israel or even Iran. 2. Every new ultimatum is a threat and step towards war. Not between Russia and Ukraine, but (between Russia) and his own country,” Medvedev wrote on X, Monday (28/7).
Responding to that, Trump on Thursday (31/7) warned Medvedev to keep his words because his statement could trigger a “very dangerous” consequence.
“Tell Medvedev, a former Russian president who failed, who felt he was still a president, to be careful in speaking. He entered a very dangerous area,” Trump wrote on his social media, Truth Social.
Shortly after, Trump claimed to have ordered two nuclear submarines to be placed in the “right area”.The deployment was carried out “just in case if a stupid and provocative statement” Medvedev “is more than that.”
This nuclear threat occurred in the middle of the deadline set by Trump until next weekend for Russia to take steps to end the war in Ukraine.Trump threatened that if Russia did not succeed in taking a stand, Kremlin would be imposed new sanctions.
The Russian Foreign Ministry has from the beginning confirmed that peace with Ukraine can only be done if Western countries stop supplies weapons to Kyiv.
