(Kopdes/Kel) Red and White
Not only is the government’s strategic agenda in encouraging the mutual cooperation economy.
Quoting from a press release from the Ministry of Cooperatives (Kemenkop), to answer public questions related to the financing scheme that will be rolled out through the Kopdes/ Kel Merah Putih, currently the Minister of Finance Regulation (PMK) has been published No. 49 of 2025 concerning Procedures for Loans in the Framework of Funding Village Cooperatives/ Kelurahan Merah Putih.
Through PMK it is expected that financing problems can be rolled out through the Kopdes by referring to the requirements that have been required.
“Of course this process is designed transparent accountable and involves three parties, namely cooperatives, banks such as BNI and regional governments. But keep in mind that this cooperative problem does not only talk about capital access, they must also be prepared to be managed professionally, modern and digital,” Menkop Budi Arie Setiadi, quoted from the press release on Monday (4/8).
Budi stated that in order to ensure the operationalization of Kopdes/ Kel Red and White went well, collaboration and cooperation with various parties, especially Himbara Bank, such as BNI.Cooperation that can be built is related to financial literacy to the Kopdes/Kel Red and White process to maximize the use of digital technology.
“All must be digital so I hope BNI can be more advanced in its digitalization, so that it can support each other’s development of Kopdes/Kel Red and White in the digital era as it is today,” Budi said.
In the same press release, Wamenkop Ferry Juliantono stated that the village cooperative or the Red and White Cooperative would be a means of accelerating the improvement of the welfare of the community because some of the main commodities of the community in the village would be distributed and fulfilled through outlets managed by Kopdes/Kel Merah Putih.
An example is basic food, 3 kg LPG subsidi gas, and cheap financing and others facilitated through the Kopdes/Kel Red and White.
In facilitating the system of distributing the strategic commodity of the community, Ferry said Kopdes/Kel Merah Putih will also partner with several other parties such as suppliers or distributors and banks.
Meanwhile, Deputy Director of PT BNI (Persero) Tbk Alexandra Askandar expressed full support for various government priority programs.According to Alexandra, cooperatives as one of the business entities that have a close historical relationship with BNI as a state -owned bank because the idea of the establishment of cooperatives and BNI banks was initiated by the same person, Margono Djojohadikoesoemo.
“In the future we will continue to support the government’s priority programs that we specifically discuss today, namely Kopdes/ Kel Merah Putih, especially the role of banking can provide support in advancing the Kopdes,” Alexandra said.
