Extending a 50 percent discount of Work Accident Insurance (JKK) contributions

The policy was contained in Government Regulation (PP) Number 36 of 2025. This rule was stipulated on 4 September 2025.
“Adjustment of JKK contributions and recomposition of JKK contributions for the JKP program as referred to in Article 10 is extended up to JKK contributions in January 2026,” said Article 10A PP Number 36 of 2025.
50 percent discount of JKK labor -intensive industry contributions was originally regulated through PP No. 7 of 2025. In that regulation, this policy was only carried out until July 2025.
The 50 percent discount policy is given to companies with a minimum number of workers registered as active BPJS Employment participants.
The industrial sector included in this category includes the food, beverage and tobacco industries;textiles and finished clothes;leather and leather items;footwear;children toys;and furniture.
With this discount, JKK contributions for a very low risk level which was previously 0.24 percent from wages to 0.12 percent, while the very high risk rate dropped from 1.74 percent to 0.87 percent from the monthly wages of workers.
Labor -intensive industrial companies that do not pay off JKK’s contributions until January 2026 continue to pay JKK contributions in accordance with the PP until 30 June 2026.
If the company is late in paying, it will be fined in accordance with Government Regulation Number 44 of 2015 concerning the Implementation of the Work Accident Insurance and Death Insurance Program.
