was dining with a number of cabinet members on Tuesday (9/9).
The location of the restaurant is not far from the White House.In a video shared by the Codepink activist group, the masses were seen carrying Palestinian flags and slogans and shouted “Free DC! Free Palestine! Trump is the Hitler of Our Time!”

, the call was aimed at Trump’s policy to mobilize troops to Washington DC as well as his support for Israel in the war in Gaza.
Trump chose dinner at the restaurant to show how his federtes security policy, which is referred to as the “control” of the Capital City, has helped local businesses continue to run.
Since the beginning of the war in Gaza broke out in 2023, the US was at the forefront in supporting Israel, both through military assistance, logistics, and diplomatic protection in international forums.
This support triggered strong criticism from various community groups in the US who considered the policy to worsen the suffering of Palestinian civilians.
In addition, the Trump government previously allowed the National Guard Forces to carry weapons in the task of “cleaning” Washington DC from street crime.
Trump called the US capital as a “crime nest” and ordered the deployment of thousands of troops to the streets.
According to the US Ministry of Defense, the troops will support operations to decrease crime rates with official weapons equipment.At present, more than 9,000 National Guard personnel are already in Washington, including those brought in from West Virginia, South Carolina, Ohio, Mississippi, Louisiana, to Tennessee.
Trump even stated that similar mobilization would be expanded to other big cities such as Chicago and New York.He accused these cities, most of whom had a democratic population, full of crime, homelessness, and mismanagement of financial.
