Budi explained that the KPK was carried out by the KPK because investigators received information from Ilham Habibie on Wednesday (3/9), that Ridwan Kamil had not yet paid off the purchase of the car.
“Thus, investigators will also certainly consider related to payments on assets made by RK’s brother to Brother IAH, who because it has not been paid off later will be like what,” he explained.
According to him, this is a consideration regarding the process of recipiting state financial losses.
Moreover, the KPK suspects that Ridwan Kamil bought the car using money from corruption in the procurement of advertising projects at the West Java and Banten regional development banks (BJB) for 2021-2023.
Previously, Ilham Habibie on Wednesday (3/9), after witnessing the BJB Bank case, said that he sold the Mercedes-Benz 280 SL to Ridwan Kamil without a contract of Rp2.6 billion.However, Ridwan Kamil only paid Rp1.3 billion.
In the case, KPK investigators on March 13, 2025 have named five suspects, who in the case year served as follows, namely the President Director of Bank BJB Yuddy Renaldi (YR) and the Commitment Making Officer (PPK) as well as the Head of the Corporate Secretary Division of Bank BJB Widi Hartoto (WH).
In addition, the controller of the Antedja Muliatama and Horizon Kreasi Mandiri Asikin Dulmanan (IAD) agency, BSC Advertising and Wahana Semesta Bandung Express Suhendrik (SUH) agency, and the Cipta Karya Successful Agency Control with Sophan Jaya Kusuma (SJK).
KPK investigators estimate state losses in the alleged corruption case in the BJB bank around Rp222 billion.
Then on March 10, 2025, the KPK searched Ridwan Kamil’s house related to the investigation of alleged corruption cases at the BJB Bank, and also confiscated motorbikes to the car from the search.
Until Friday (5/9), it was recorded that 179 days Ridwan Kamil had not been called by the KPK after the search.
