One of the refugee residents, Eka Prastiwi, whose house was only one unit from the explosion location, claimed to be forced to evacuate with his family because the conditions of his residence were already unfit for habitation.
“We are directed by the South Tangerang City Government to evacuate temporarily here, because the condition of the house is still prone to ruins, for the time being we take refuge in refugee camps,” Eka said, Saturday (9/13).
Eka told me when the incident had just woken up.He did not hear loud thumps, but only the sound of the attic of his house.
“It happened at dawn. I think the sound of a cat in the attic, so there was no boom at all hearing the sound of a big explosion,” he explained.
According to the Head of Emergency and Logistics Division of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of South Tangerang City, Essa Nugraha, 50 out of 84 affected residents are still displaced in the musala.
“This is calculated by the second day, the refugees are in the post. The number of 50 people out of a total of 84 people affected,” he said.
Essa added, refugees were dominated by housewives and the elderly, and there were 10 toddlers who were affected.
Essa also mentioned to meet the needs of refugees, South Tangerang City BPBD established public kitchen services for a week.
“In accordance with the BPBD SOP is included in the emergency alert, then we established for a week,” he concluded.
The loud explosion that occurred around 05.15 WIB on Jalan Talas II RT003/001, Pondok Cabe Ilir, Pamulang, destroyed dozens of houses.
Four of them suffered severe damage, while the rest were damaged in the roof due to being exposed to bursting material.
As a result of the incident, 8 people were injured.Then 3 people from one family are still undergoing intensive treatment at Hermina Ciputat Hospital, 1 other person is treated at UIN Hospital due to serious burns all over the body.While 3 residents who suffered minor injuries only underwent outpatient care.
